Mysterious Morpher

Info

You are an artificial lifeform that was created in a facility using a mysterious material. You will be tested on your abilities, skills and intelligence.

You have the ability to take over and control other bodies by walking into them (consuming them). You may decide to leave the body you control at any time*, though this will destroy it. Every body has different attributes and unique properties that you can use to complete the tests.

This game was made as a submission for the Dani's Basement Game Jam with the theme: "You are what you consume!"

Controls

Every game has controls, this one surprisingly has some too. The first item under the action is the one you are taught in-game, but the others can also be used

Move right

• Right arrow key
• D key

Move left

• Left arrow key
• A key
• Q key (Useful for AZERTY keyboard)

Jump

• Up arrow key (When gravity is normal)
• Down arrow key (When gravity is reversed)
• Space (Works for both gravity directions)

Leave body
You can use this to leave the body you are currently controlling, this will destroy the body and boost you up.

• Enter key

Skip dialog
In case you lose interest in the yap, you can skip most dialog at the press of the button. This will skip all dialog and allow the exit door to be opened immediately.

• Backspace key
• Click on the "Skip" button in the right corner

Notes

• The buttons on the title screen are clickable with the left mouse button. They do not give any visual feedback.
• There is an in-game timer at the credits that tracks how long it took for you to complete the game. On release, my fastest time (for the quickest ending) was reportedly around 3 minutes. Some time more recently, I managed to achieve a time of 1:55.
• The door at the end of each room is locked until the dialog finishes. Keep this in mind, as you might need to count on the door opening to not plummet to your doom!
• I am aware that this game has some issues. However, I currently don't intend to create a version that fixes them. I have rough plans of expanding on this game, but this page will probably remain with the current version, while a new version would be published somewhere else.
